For those of you, like myself, who had applied to become a Battlefield Heroes beta tester, you probably received quite a scare when the company handling the applications, QA Boss, sent out an email alerting users their account information may have been compromised.
Apparently the company had a security leak last week which exposed account information for the thousands of users that had registered on the site in recent weeks. Members' usernames, encrypted passwords, and email addresses were all exposed for a period of time, and it was highly recommended that you change your password to protect your account from further damage.
Today, the Battlefield Heroes team issues a statement addressing concerns and assuring everyone that your EA Account information remains completely secure.
There has still been no word from QA Boss as to the extent of the damage the security breach caused, but we will keep you posted as more develops.
The Battlefield Heroes development team has updated their official blog this afternoon, addressing the abilities and classes of the upcoming release. Be sure to head on over to the Official Heroes Website to check out the full post and get all the details on these crazy abilities.
